Missing a variant, SKU or product? Here's a checklist to help find it.

Summary

There are several reasons why you may be having trouble locating an item from your store in your Inventory Planner account. If you are struggling to find a particular item, check the following:

  • Catalog > Listings

  • Filtering

    • The report view - variants, product, bundles, or assemblies view

    • Default filters

    • Search path may have narrowed your possible results

  • Other settings to be aware of

  • Sync time with your platform

Catalog > Listings

The first place to check is the Catalog, under Catalog > Listings.

Search for the item here using the search bar at the top of the page to ensure that it has synced to Inventory Planner.

If you can't find the item here, it likely has not synced from your store yet. Check the sync time to see if there has been a sync since it was added to your store.

If you can see the item here but not on other pages such as the Replenishment report, then move on to check your report filtering.

Report filtering

Report view

Check your report view to make sure it matches the item you can't find.

For example, you may be searching for an assembly while your report is in the "Variants" view. To view the assembly, you'll need to change the view to "Assemblies".

Default filters

Your report's default filters may be excluding your item.

For example, discontinued or dropshipped items that are marked as non-replenishable are hidden by the default filters. Either removing the "Replenishable" filter to show all variants or changing the setting from "Yes" to "No" will display your non-replenishable variants.

You can remove any filter in the Replenishment or Overstock reports by clicking the trash can icon beside the filter.

Search path narrows the potential results

In the process of navigating the Replenishment or Overstock reports, you may have inadvertently narrowed potential search results. For example, if you clicked on a vendor name in Replenishment, Inventory Planner will be displaying only the variants associated with that vendor.

If you are searching for a SKU not associated with that vendor, it will not appear.

Look at the filters at the top of the report to see what you're filtering by, and remove any unwanted filters.

Other things to check

If you can see the item under Catalog > Listings but not in other reports and it doesn't seem to be an issue with your report filters, check the following:

  • Is the item a bundle?

    • If it's a bundle, it will not appear in the Replenishment report. Bundle components will show as variants, but bundle parents do not need to be ordered. Assemblies will show in Replenishment. Learn more about bundles and assemblies here.

  • Has the listing been removed from the warehouse you're filtering on?

    • Check if the listing is removed from the warehouse by clicking the Details icon, then clicking "Listings". If it has been removed, it won't display in that warehouse by default.

  • Is there a stock record?

    • Check if there is a stock record by clicking the Details icon, then clicking "Warehouses". If there is no stock record, the item will not display. Contact the Inventory Planner team if you would like all items to show in all warehouses.

Sync time

If you have created a new product or variant on your website and you can't see it under Catalog > Listings, check to see when the last sync with Inventory Planner took place. If it occurred before you created the item, then it will not appear in Inventory Planner and you'll have to initiate a variants sync in order to pull it in.

Click on the Sync icon at the bottom left of your screen, then on Run variants sync.
