Amazon requires labelling products sent to them, so that they can be tracked throughout the receiving and fulfillment process. As part of Amazon’s shipment creation process, you can save time and money by creating and printing labels directly from Inventory Planner.

Start printing or customizing your labels by clicking “Labels” at the top of the purchase order detail screen.

From this screen, you can choose to print labels for either individual products or cartons.

You can specify how many labels you'd like printed for each SKU or carton by changing the value in the “# Labels” field.

Alternatively, you can also populate values in this field by selecting “Set label quantities”, choosing between “ordered”, “received”, or to clear all current values.

Customizing your labels

Click on “Manage Templates” above the label preview to configure labels.

Configuring your label template is very flexible. You can create templates for different uses (e.g. for an individual SKU vs. a carton of merchandise) and pull them up by name.

For each label template, you can specify:

  • a height and width in millimeters

  • how many labels to print per page

  • the margins around each label

  • the page margins

Set the values to optimize your label sizes for your DYMO or any other label printer.

The “Fields” section allows you to customize which fields are displayed on your labels and their appearance.

To add additional fields to your label, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Add Field”.

When your label template is fully configured, click “Save Changes”.
