IP tags (Inventory Planner tags) allow you to assign labels to products within your Inventory Planner account. You can use these labels to group, filter and search for products on various reports.

Note: Tags are assigned on the product level by default. If you would like to assign tags on the variant level instead, contact Inventory Planner Support.

Assigning IP tags to products

In the Replenishment report, select the products you would like to tag, then click on Bulk Actions > Add IP Tags.

In the popup, type in the name of the tag you would like to add. If you are entering a new tag, simply type in the name and hit Enter to create it.

If you're assigning a tag you have already created, they'll appear in the dropdown when you're typing your tag name.

When creating new tags it is advisable to check whether the tag has already been created and, if so, to use the existing tag in order to maintain consistency and avoid making variations on the same tag.

Removing IP tags

To remove IP tags, select the products in Replenishment, then click Bulk Actions > Remove IP tags.

You will be prompted to choose the tag to remove, or choose to remove all tags.

After specifying what to remove, click "Apply" to remove the tags.

Importing IP tags

You can import IP tags using a CSV file containing SKUs (or another identifier) and IP tags. Import multiple IP tags by separating each one with a semicolon - for example, IPTag1; IPTag2; IPTag3.

Import IP tags using a Variant settings import. In the Replenishment screen, click Import > Variant settings.

You'll see the available columns listed on the bottom of the import section, or you can download the CSV template and fill that in.

Once your CSV file is prepared and ready, drag the file to the import section, or click the button to upload it.

Once you've uploaded your file, click "Map fields" to be taken to a screen where you can check and confirm the columns on the file are linked to the desired fields in Inventory Planner.

Ensure IP tags are mapped correctly, then click 'Import' to complete the import.

You will then see an import summary screen that will confirm changes or flag any errors that the system experienced during the import.
