Updated over a week ago

The new Details page is an update to the details modal, making it easier to understand how Inventory Planner analyzes your data to provide a forecast and replenishment recommendations. It’s designed to be more efficient and is available for you to try now.

The Details page highlights key information, including metrics, so you can quickly see how your products are performing and whether any action is required for specific variants, products, or other groups.

The new page uses the same data as the existing details modal, but presents it in an updated, more accessible way. All the existing functionality and metrics are available on the new page, as well as more actions and data which aren’t available on the old version. Any functionality not relocated is still available on the old details modal, which is now named the “Catalog & orders” modal.

Please note that the page is in beta, so you may experience some issues. If you encounter any problems, please report them using the feedback form in the beta banner or by contacting Support.

How can I opt in to the beta?

You can opt in to the beta by going to Settings > General and enabling the toggle. You can disable it from the same page.

The beta experience does not change any of your data. It only changes how you can view this.

Note that enabling the beta enables it for the whole account, not just for your user.

What’s changed?

New additions

A new Summary tab, to help you quickly get an overview of an item or aggregated view, and its the inventory planning performance.

New YoY and 30d % change metrics for critical inventory planning indicators help you see at a glance where you need to focus attention. For more ease of use you now have larger images, more catalog information, and a breakdown of components for bundles and assemblies.

A redesigned replenishment and forecast experience, for clearer, quicker understanding of how these are calculated and adjusted. You can see critical metrics at a glance in more focused tabs, and then view more detailed breakdowns of how replenishment and forecast metrics are calculated.

  • Warehouse switcher, so you can compare different warehouses easily

  • Efficient bulk actions when editing the forecast

  • Clearer breakdown of how monthly forecasts are adjusted and overwritten

  • Additional metrics to help you compare month over month sales:

    • Daily sales velocity

    • Daily sales velocity (past)

    • MoM % change.

  • Explanation of the forecast configuration and what metrics are used for the forecasting

  • Expandable view of the types of stock order expected during the lead time and days of stock, to understand what impacts those calculations

  • Larger charts, so you can see detail more easily

  • Labels for recent sales increases or decreases, to quickly check changes

  • Improved experience for assembly replenishment calculations, so it’s clear what’s influencing that calculation

Changes

  • The old “Details” modal still exists, but has been renamed the “Catalog and orders” modal – you’ll see this name in the “History” tab on either the new Details page or the Catalog and orders modal

  • The “Catalog and orders” modal no longer contains the tabs that have been included in the Details page. These are:

    • The “Replenishment and forecast” tab

    • The “Sales and stock” tab

All the functionality in the modal which hasn't been moved has been kept.
