You may wish to import stock orders into Inventory Planner. Using a spreadsheet, you can import purchase orders, transfer orders and assembly orders.
To import a stock order from a spreadsheet:
Build your spreadsheet. Your spreadsheet needs to contain the following information including column names:
An identifier to match products: SKU, title, ID, vendor reference, or barcode. (Required)
Quantity ordered (required)
Vendor name (optional)
Received quantity if the ordered products have already arrived and added to inventory (optional)
PO created date (optional)
PO arrival date (optional)
Cost price (optional)
Landing cost price (optional)
PO number to differentiate purchase orders. If not provided then POs are distinguished by arrival date. (optional)
Date format such as yyyy-mm-dd (Recommended to be set, to ensure we read the date correctly)
2. Go to the Stock Orders page from the main menu.
3. At the bottom of the screen, click Import > Stock Orders.
4. Attach your saved spreadsheet by either clicking the option to upload your file or by dragging the desired file to the import area. You can also download a CSV template.
5. Inventory Planner will match columns with your column names when possible. For other columns of information, you will need to map the correct column title to the information you are importing.
Note that if you are importing a transfer or assembly order, set the "Orders Type" field to indicate which kind of order you are importing.
When you select “Transfer” or "Assembly order", additional fields will appear asking you to either choose a source warehouse or to include a source warehouse column in your import spreadsheet. You only need to use one of these two source warehouse fields on the import dialog.
When you select "Assembly order", you will also see a field for "Start date". While not required, providing a start date is essential for accurate recommendations and including a start date is recommended.
6. When all column names have been matched to their information field, click “Import” at the bottom of the screen.
