Using multiple kinds of platform

If you use an inventory management system (IMS) (e.g. QuickBooks Commerce, Skubana, Ordoro) with a sales platform that integrates with Inventory Planner (e.g. Shopify, Amazon), it is advised to only connect your inventory management system to Inventory Planner.

You should not connect Inventory Planner to both an IMS and the platforms that are connected to your IMS. Doing so would result in duplicated data in Inventory Planner.

How Inventory Planner interacts with your platform

Inventory Planner is mostly read-only service. It does not create, edit or remove any products or sales orders from your platform.

However, there are some optional updates you can push from Inventory Planner to your platform.

For e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce and others, you can optionally update stock quantities when you mark your products as received on a purchase order. This step is explicit and cannot be done by accident.

Additionally, Inventory Planner pushes purchase orders to inventory management systems such as Skubana, QuickBooks Commerce, Ordoro, or Vend, when they are created in Inventory Planner.
