Importing bundles and assemblies

You can import bundles and assemblies using a spreadsheet by going to Replenishment > Import > Bundles/Assemblies.

The spreadsheet should contain the following information, and the first row should be the column headers:

  • Bundle SKU, Assembly SKU or other identifier such as Title, ID (used by your sales platform), Inventory Planner ID, Vendor Reference, or Barcode.

  • Component/Variant SKU or other identifier such as Title, ID (used by your sales platform), Inventory Planner ID, Vendor Reference, or Barcode.

  • The quantity of components included in the bundle or assembly.

  • The component retail price (Optional)

  • Whether the row is related to an assembly. If it is, set "Is Assembly" to "Yes", "Y" or "1". If it isn’t, set “Is Assembly” to "No", "N", "0" or empty.

  • Whether to include bundle sales when managing component stock. Set “Manage components stock based on bundle sales” to "1" if you do, or “0” or blank if you don’t. (Optional)

Below is a template you can use for producing this spreadsheet. The import spreadsheet does not need to follow this format (columns may be in any order), though all columns do require a title.

You can also create IP Variants via a CSV import while importing bundle or assembly information. By checking the box for "Create IP Variants for non-existing components", additional (optional) fields will appear, allowing you to include more information on IP Variants, including:

  • IP Variant Title

  • IP Variant Barcode

  • IP Variant Vendor

  • IP Variant Cost Price

Once you’re in the imports screen, you can drag your import file into the box, or click the box to select your file.

Once the file has been uploaded, click “Map columns” to be taken to a configuration page asking you to confirm the columns in your file, as well as choose which column to use as the identifier (“Match by”). SKU is the default identifier, so make sure to change it if your file uses a different one.

When all fields in your file are matched to the corresponding field in Inventory Planner, click Import to import your bundles and/or assemblies.
