Multi-channel fulfillment (MCF) is a service provided by Amazon that allows you to use Amazon’s fulfillment network to ship your non-Amazon orders.
Reporting on MCF orders
In Inventory Planner, your MCF data is merged with your FBA data as MCF is still considered to be “Fulfilled by Amazon”, even if the sales don’t originate there.
There is no way to report separately on these MCF sales in Inventory Planner. Furthermore, because the sales have empty prices on Amazon, they only contribute to sales volume and not sales revenue-related metrics.
Removal orders
Removal orders are requests to Amazon for inventory to be removed (discarded) from their facilities, which is often more economical than having it returned. They should never be included in a seller’s sales data.
However, Amazon’s SP-API does not provide a way for Inventory Planner to distinguish between true non-Amazon orders and “removal orders”.
Because removal orders will always be in a status of “unshipped”, Inventory Planner excludes any non-Amazon order with an “unshipped” status from its forecasting and replenishment considerations. This means unshipped MCF orders are excluded until they’ve been shipped.
Duplicated MCF orders
In cases where you have both your Amazon account and your storefront or ERP connected, MCF orders may be duplicated in a combined warehouse including warehouses from both connections.
If your storefront or ERP is able to supply Inventory Planner with details of the MCF sales along with its other sales, fulfilled outside of Amazon, you should ask Inventory Planner support to set your Amazon connector to “Exclude all non-Amazon orders”.
