Connecting your ShipStation account to Inventory Planner brings additional sales history to your forecasting and replenishment recommendations.

Note: Because ShipStation's API does not provide stock information, you will need a second connection to supply inventory levels in order to generate replenishment recommendations. Read more here about how the forecast and replenishment recommendations are generated.

Connecting ShipStation and Inventory Planner

From ShipStation, click Settings in the top right corner.

Then click Account on the left side, then API Settings.

Click Generate New API Keys.

Make a note of the API Key and API Secret that will be needed to complete the integration with Inventory Planner.

Then, log into Inventory Planner and go to Account > Settings > Connections & warehouses. Click "+ New Connection" and select the ShipStation connector.

In the form provided, copy API Key and API Secret to corresponding fields in the connection form shown on the connection page.

Finally, click Connect. Your data from ShipStation will start to sync to Inventory Planner. You will see an alert in the lower left corner of Inventory Planner when the sync has completed.

Once you refresh the page, you'll see your sales and product data available. Here's an overview of how Inventory Planner works to get you started with account set-up.
