Benefits of connecting your Tradegecko account to Inventory Planner
Inventory Planner forecasts customer demand, helping merchants save time and money by having the right products in the right place at the right time. Using sales history, purchasing information and stock levels, Inventory Planner makes replenishment recommendations. Merchants save time by easily creating a purchase order using these recommendations. Purchase orders sync seamlessly with Tradegecko.
Beyond streamlining the purchasing process, merchants gain insight to make business decisions by identifying demand trends; analyzing performance by variant, brand, category, option set, or tag; and creating other customizable reports using more than 125 available metrics.
How to integrate your TradeGecko account with Inventory Planner.
From your Tradegecko account, select Inventory Planner in the apps section of your dashboard.
Note: If you have more than one TradeGecko account, select the one you want to integrate with from the dropdown field.
Your first sync may take a few minutes depending on the size of your inventory.
Once your data is synced you will be taken to your Overview page and you should see all your updated stock data.
Your replenishment report will then show you the amount of stock you will need to purchase as well as provide you with an estimation of the potential loss of revenue, should you fail to place the PO.
You can also create new purchase order directly from Replenishment. Once you have reviewed Inventory Planner replenishment suggestions, filter or select several variants in Replenishment view.
and create a new purchase order for them.
Replenishment recommendations will populate automatically on the purchase order.
Note: When you click on Save you will have the option to Save on TradeGecko. If you check this box, your Purchase Orders created here will automatically be created in TradeGecko.
Now if you go into your TradeGecko account you will be able to see those Purchase Orders in the Stock Control section of the app.
You can now go into your PO on TradeGecko to receive your Products.
Once Inventory Planner syncs the Purchase Order to TradeGecko, you will not be able to edit the PO in Inventory Planner. Any edits or receiving the PO must be done in TradeGecko and this information will be synced to Inventory Planner.
Other notes about the Tradegecko - Inventory Planner integration
Note: For variant regular price, Inventory Planner uses item retail price ('retail' price list). Price (current) is taken from default sale price list configured in Settings/Configuration/Price Lists.
Note that we also use real price from sales order when computing revenue and profit.
Moving average cost is used for item cost price to compute cost-related metrics in reports. In purchase orders, Inventory Planner uses supplier price list (if configured in settings)
or default buy price list set in Settings/Configuration/Price Lists.
Stock numbers showing in Inventory Planner will exclude stock that is committed to customer orders that are unfulfilled.
