Preparing bundles and assemblies for Amazon FBA

Bundles

Amazon only carries finished goods, so any bundles associated with an FBA listing must be treated as assemblies.

If you have bundles, you will first need to assemble them in a non-Amazon warehouse, which could be either an IP warehouse, or a warehouse synced from another connector. Once your ‘bundles' have been assembled, you would transfer the stock into your FBA warehouse.

Recommended workflow for Amazon integrations

  1. Create purchase orders to purchase component variants from vendors. Components should be received into a non-Amazon warehouse.

    1. If the receiving warehouse is not an IP warehouse and supports the “purchase orders (push)” functionality, save the purchase order to your integrated warehouse and handle any receiving and edits there.

    2. If the receiving warehouse is an IP warehouse or doesn’t support pushing purchase orders, receive the purchase order in Inventory Planner.

  2. Create assembly orders using replenishment recommendations to create new assemblies from the component stock. Set the destination warehouse (your assembling facility) as a non-Amazon warehouse.

    1. If the assembling facility is not an IP warehouse and supports the “assembly orders (push)” functionality, you can save the assembly order to the integrated warehouse and handle any receiving and edits there.

    2. If the assembling facility is an IP warehouse or doesn’t support pushing assembly orders, receive the assembly order in Inventory Planner.

  3. Create transfer orders to transfer completed assemblies from the assembly facility to the Amazon warehouse. As transfers are created, they can be saved to Amazon to initiate the FBA inbound shipment process (if applicable). Learn more about inbound shipments here.
