Build stronger assortments while freeing up cash tied in dead stock
New email automation for stock order reports
You can now schedule automated emails for the stock orders report.
Scheduling automated stock order reports gives you timely visibility into operational priorities by highlighting:
Overdue stock orders that require follow-up
Upcoming arrivals the warehouse should prepare for
Stay informed and take action sooner with reports delivered directly to your inbox. Learn more about automating stock order reports.
Automated report emails
Append send date to email subject lines
You can now choose to append the current date to the subject line of automated report emails, making it easier to identify the exact date of a report when emails are forwarded or stored for reference.
Custom sorting for automated reports
A new "Sort" dropdown in the attachment settings for automated report emails lets you choose the metric or attribute used to sort the report, and to specify ascending or descending order. Sorting surfaces the most relevant rows first (for example, the highest revenue or lowest stock cover), so key items are immediately visible.
'Last day of month' option for monthly email schedules
Monthly report email automations now include a "Last day of month" scheduling option. When selected, the report will be sent on the final day of each month, automatically adjusting for month length and leap years. This option ensures reports are always sent on the month-end date, without needing to adjust for short months.
Dynamic 'compare to' dates now displayed correctly
When editing an automated report, the "Compare to" date ranges now correctly display the dynamic periods that will be used when the report is generated, removing confusion.
'Stop after X occurrences' option removed from automations
The option to automatically stop an automation after a set number of occurrences has been removed. You can still end automations manually or by setting an end date.
Purchasing and replenishment improvements
Stock orders report | New column and filter: Total net weight
You can now filter on "Total net weight" and add it as a column in the Stock orders report. This field displays the combined net weight of all goods on each order. It makes it easier to estimate logistics costs without opening each purchase order individually, streamlining order review and supporting quicker operational decisions.
Bulk set transfer quantities to match source stock
A new bulk action on transfer orders lets you automatically set the quantity of all line items to match the stock available in the source warehouse, making it easier to move all remaining stock from one location to another.
This bulk action significantly speeds up creating transfer orders when clearing out a location, such as returning all store stock to the warehouse at the end of a season.
Bulk action to export stock orders to PDF
A new Export to PDF bulk action on the Stock orders page lets you generate PDFs for multiple stock orders. Each stock order is generated as an individual PDF with the relevant template, delivered together in a single zipped download.
This feature makes document preparation significantly faster when working with multiple purchase orders.
Bulk action to clear stock thresholds
In the Replenishment page, the bulk action to update Min safety stock and Max stock now has toggles to clear existing values, giving you more control and clarity when adjusting these fields in bulk.
Reporting improvements
Stock, sales & commitment report | New metric: Last 30 days revenue
"Last 30 days revenue" has been added to the Stock, sales & commitment report. This metric displays revenue from the past 30 days, independent of the date range selected for the report. It makes it easier to identify high-value variants directly within the report, and provides visibility into a metric that was previously used for sorting but not displayed.
Reports | New metric: Opening landing cost price
The "Opening landed cost price" metric has been added to the Replenishment page, and the Inventory KPIs and Compare warehouses report. This enhancement offers more accurate and meaningful cost analysis.
Search filter options in reports
A search bar has been added to the filter menu in reports, making it easier to find specific metrics or attributes to apply as filters. As filter menus often exceed a hundred options, the new search feature makes locating the right filter faster.
Added currency symbol to profit column in Replenishment
The "Profit" column in Replenishment now correctly displays a currency symbol alongside the profit value, making profit values easier to interpret at a glance and improving consistency with other monetary fields in the report.
Improved 'Profit' and 'Forecast profit' popovers
The "Profit" and "Forecast profit" popovers in reports have been updated for clearer, more consistent formatting. They're now easier to read and interpret, improving clarity and consistency.
Improved consistency of alerted variant icons
The icons used to indicate alerted variants in reports now display consistently in all cases.
UI improvements
Standardized number formatting across the product
Numeric values in reports and popovers now use consistent thousand separators. Examples include "Total revenue %", "Total profit %" and "Total sales %" in the Replenishment report, as well as several popovers like "Forecast profit" and "Last markdown date".
Cleaner layout for settings pages
The layout of the Settings pages has been updated to remove unnecessary spacing and gaps, making them more compact and easier to read.
Details page improvements
Added price data on Details summary page
The information box on the Details summary page now includes key price fields: "Price", "Regular price" and "Cost price", making it easier to access important pricing details when reviewing a SKU.
Connector improvements
ShipBob | Connector migrated to latest API version
The ShipBob connector has been updated to use the latest version of ShipBob's API. New connections will use the updated API immediately while existing accounts will be migrated automatically during the next few months.
2026 Q2
Details page update
We’ve refreshed the Details view to make it easier to use, easier to understand, and easier on the eyes, while keeping the same trusted metrics. You’ll see clearer data behind forecasts and replenishment, better navigation for assemblies and components, a new Summary tab to quickly identify key inventory planning performance metrics that drive inventory success, larger product images, and quick access to catalog info.
Starting January 29, 2026, the new Details view will be automatically enabled for all accounts.
You can still switch back to the previous view if needed, but we strongly recommend using the new view. All future updates and features will be built only on this experience. Our Support and Customer Success teams are here to help if you need it. Learn more about the new Details page here.
For those of you who have already made the switch, see below for a list of improvements based on feedback during the beta:
We've added a new "Details link" column, so you don't need to have the "Name" column enabled to view the Details page, letting you customize Inventory Planner with more flexibility.
The sales forecast chart now appears on the Replenishment tab, so you don't have to switch to the Forecast tab to view your forecasted sales.
We've added a new date range selector in the Stock & sales tab. Previously, the date was controlled via the Replenishment date range, but now you can change the date range to quickly explore your data.
We've added a warehouse switcher for "Combine forecast" warehouses. Where combined warehouses have the "Combine forecast" option enabled, you'll now see a dropdown switcher for those child warehouses in the Source data section, making it easier to view the information making up your forecast.
Option insights report beta
The new Option insights report is an easy way to see how product options like color, size, material and more are performing. Visual charts help you quickly spot what’s selling and where demand is strongest, so you can make smarter buying decisions.
This feature is in beta and available on Premium plans. We’d love your feedback as we continue to improve it.
Usability improvements
Settings page update
The Settings layout has been refreshed, to better match the structure of Inventory Planner. All the same settings are still there, but may have been moved to different tabs. As new settings are released in the future for upcoming features, this new structure will make them easier to find. Learn more about the new layout here.
UI improvements
We've updated the formatting of hyperlinks and improved the naming of modals and action buttons, making their purpose clearer and Inventory Planner easier to use.
Standardized filename formats for stock order files
We’ve standardized the filename format for stock order files (PDF and CSV) when they are downloaded or emailed, ensuring consistency and clarity across different order types and export methods. The type of stock order is now also correctly displayed in the file name ('PO', 'TO', 'AO'). Learn more about the file name formatting here.

You can now view the "LT closing stock" metric in Replenishment.

In line with Shopify's API update schedule, we've migrated the connector to the new GraphQL API where required.
2026 Q1
Improved reporting
Persistent date ranges in reports
The date range pickers on all reports now remember your last selection, so if you exit and re-enter a report, Inventory Planner retains the reporting period, helping save you time and avoid errors.
Replenishment | New column: 'AVG lead time'
You can now add "Average lead time" as a column in Replenishment. This metric calculates the actual average number of days between creating a purchase order and receiving inventory for each variant, allowing you greater confidence when planning your orders.
Stock orders | New columns: 'Vendor address', 'Billing address', 'Shipping address', 'Attn', 'Start date'
You can now add "Vendor address", "Billing address", "Shipping address", "Attn" and "Start date" as columns in the Stock orders list, so you can view more detailed order information without having to open individual records.
Usability improvements
Choose stock order export columns
When exporting a group of stock orders to a CSV file, you can now choose between "All available columns" or "Visible columns only", avoiding unnecessary fields cluttering your file.
Replenishment date selector no longer overrides forecast settings
Updating the date range on Replenishment previously updated both the sales data shown on the page and the date range used for forecasting. Now, only the sales data is updated. The forecast date range is controlled under Settings > Forecast.
Dynamic date ranges displayed in automations
When creating report email automations, the UI is now clearer that the selected date range is dynamic.
Improved font accessibility
We've updated Inventory Planner's default font, providing cleaner, more readable text with a clear distinction between similar characters.

2025 Q4
Advanced CSV connector
We are excited to announce the general release of our Advanced CSV Connector within the first week of September, giving you the power to conveniently connect any system from your tech stack to Inventory Planner by Sage – even when a native integration isn’t available. It means you’re free to change up your tech stack as you grow, confident that Inventory Planner will always be here for you.
Note: To self-implement the Advanced CSV connector, you'll need to create, use and securely manage your SSH keys, connect to the SFTP server, and generate the CSV files with correct data types yourself or with your third-party integrator.
Inventory Planner support are unable to assist with technical queries relating to systems other than Inventory Planner, but can recommend a trusted integration partner if needed.
