Advanced CSV connector

We are excited to announce the general release of our Advanced CSV Connector within the first week of September, giving you the power to conveniently connect any system from your tech stack to Inventory Planner by Sage – even when a native integration isn’t available. It means you’re free to change up your tech stack as you grow, confident that Inventory Planner will always be here for you.

Note: To self-implement the Advanced CSV connector, you'll need to create, use and securely manage your SSH keys, connect to the SFTP server, and generate the CSV files with correct data types yourself or with your third-party integrator.

Inventory Planner support are unable to assist with technical queries relating to systems other than Inventory Planner, but can recommend a trusted integration partner if needed.

API improvements

Webhook eventing for stock orders from any connector

Webhook events for stock orders are now available across the platform from any connector. These events also return transfer orders and assembly orders (all handled as 'purchase-orders' in the API).

The new topics are:

  • purchase-orders/create

  • purchase-orders/update

  • purchase-orders/delete

Purchasing process efficiency

Imports | Import received inventory in bulk

You can now import goods received quantities for multiple stock orders in a single CSV file by mapping the order reference.

Stock orders | Stock order CSV exports include payment terms and shipment methods

When exporting stock orders to a CSV file, the payment terms and shipment method columns are now included.

New filters and columns

Catalog (Vendor attributes) | New filters: 'Has MOQ', 'Has UOM'

"Has MOQ" and "Has UOM" filters have been added to the Vendor attributes catalog, allowing you to quickly find variants with/without minimum order quantities or units of measurements. Using the filters makes it easier to clean up your data and complete variant-vendor setup.

Reports | New filters: Returns metrics

Filters for 'Returns units', 'Lifetime returns units', 'Returns %', and 'Returns revenue' have been added to the Replenishment, Inventory KPIs and Compare warehouses reports.

Replenishment | CBM column total

The Replenishment report now displays the total for the CBM column, unless the value is zero.

Quality of life improvements

Imports instructions refreshed

Instructions for importing have been moved to the Help Center, allowing us to provide more detail.

Popup notification for new version of Inventory Planner

When Inventory Planner is updated to a new version, a popup notification is now triggered. Using the notification refreshes Inventory Planner to prevent unresponsiveness.

Improved administration

Option to disable stock updates to connected platforms

If you manage your stock updates directly in your sales channels, you can now hide the option to increase or decrease inventory in connected platforms when receiving or sending inventory against a stock order.

Default PO status applied consistently

The default purchase order status is now applied to all stock orders created in Inventory Planner, regardless of whether they were created manually, via import, automations, or in bulk.

Connector improvements

Odoo | Improved tag syncing

We've improved the syncing of product tag data for the Odoo connector. If you believe your account could benefit, contact Inventory Planner support.

Snowflake | Set "Replenishable" status

You can now set the replenishable status for variants in the Snowflake connector, using the new "non-replenishable" field.

2025 Q3

New filters, columns and labels

Compare Warehouses | New filters: 'Total to transfer', 'Total available stock', 'Available stock'

New filters have been added to help you more easily plan your transfer orders. When comparing warehouses, you can now filter on how much stock you have or need to transfer, preventing you from over-ordering stock you have elsewhere.

"Total to transfer" is available under the "Replenishment" section of filters for the Variants, Bundles, Assemblies and Products views.

"Total available stock" and "Available stock" have been added to the Products view for consistency, as they were previously available as columns.

Reporting | New label for variants first sold recently

A "First sold recently" label has been added, marking variants which have had their first sale within the last 60 days.

This label complements the existing label for "New product" (marking variants created in the last 60 days), enabling you to create more tailored reports for your recently-launched products.

Stock orders list | New columns and filters: 'Total remaining cost', 'Total received cost'

The Stock orders report now includes columns and filters for ‘Total remaining cost’ and ‘Total received cost’, which show the monetary value of open and received inventory respectively.

The new columns and filters help you tailor reports to check if you have enough cash to cover open orders and find any discrepancies with received quantities.

Quality of life improvements

Stock orders | Bulk updates for stock order dates

A new bulk action has been added to the Stock orders report, allowing you to save time by updating expected, shipment and payment dates in bulk.

Stock order creation | Filter variants by 'Visible'

You can now filter out variants based on their visibility when creating purchase orders.

Stock orders | Shipping tax % and amount displayed on PDFs

Purchase order PDFs now display shipping tax as both a percentage and amount, ensuring your purchase order documents reflect all costs and taxes. For example:

  • Shipping and Handling $300.00

  • Shipping Tax 5.00% $15.00

Miscellaneous | Warehouses sorted alphabetically

Warehouses are now listed alphabetically in dropdown menus across Inventory Planner, making it easier to find a location when dealing with a lengthy list.

Catalog (Forecast settings) | 'Combine sales/stock' option added to Import list

"Combine sales/stock" is now available as an option when using the Import button on the Catalog > Forecast settings page.

Improved administration

Stock order statuses | PO status type now editable

Stock order statuses can now be managed at Settings > Purchase orders, allowing you to control whether statuses are treated as draft, active, closed, or cancelled.

Imports | Overwrite stockout history configuration added

When importing your stockout history, you now have more control over what data is updated. Previously, all of your stockout history would be overwritten when uploading a new file.

Now, if the "Keep previous stockouts for other months" option is toggled on, only the months included in your file will be updated.

Open-to-Buy | More history available in the OTB report

Open-to-Buy metrics are now available for two years' of history, allowing you to compare across two years in case a month in the previous year was an outlier.

Amazon | Amazon IE market added

Support for the Amazon Ireland marketplace has been added.

Improved syncing | ShipHero, WooCommerce, Odoo

Data syncing has been improved for ShipHero returns orders, WooCommerce SKUs and Odoo stock levels. If you believe you could benefit, please contact the Support team.

In the Open-to-Buy report, the "Margin" figure now displays a percentage sign, making it clearer.
