A 'warehouse' in Inventory Planner is automatically created based on warehouses or locations set up in your connected platform(s). Warehouses will reflect sales and performance metrics for only that location. Settings such as lead time and days of stock can be configured for each warehouse. 

For Amazon connections, you will see an FBA 'warehouse' set up for each country in the Amazon region and an FBM warehouse for the entire region. (FBA is fulfilled by Amazon, and FBM is fulfilled by merchant.)

Warehouses cannot be deleted from Inventory Planner. Instead, you should disable any warehouse that you will not need for replenishment, planning, and reporting purposes. 

Additional warehouses can be configured within Inventory Planner. A combined warehouse adds together the sales, stock, and/or purchase order information for more than one warehouse. 

An IP warehouse is used when your store has inventory in a location that does not fulfill customer orders directly. This manual warehouse is used to transfer stock to other locations that do handle order fulfillment. 

Note: Pricing of your Inventory Planner subscription is partially based on the number of enabled warehouses. Disable warehouses to lower your monthly bill. Combined warehouses and IP warehouses will not contribute to your monthly subscription billing.

Warehouse Settings

View your current warehouse configuration in Account > Settings.

> Connections & Warehouses.

Each enabled warehouse will show detail for sales and other reporting, forecasting, and replenishment recommendations. If you do not need to see reporting or replenishment recommendations for one warehouse, disable it from the Warehouse Settings page.

Note: Disable warehouses to lower your monthly bill. There is no additional charge for combined warehouses. See our Pricing Guide for details on billing with multiple locations.

Click on 'Settings' for a particular warehouse to disable alerts, and to enter the billing and shipping address to be used on purchase orders.

IP Warehouse (Virtual Warehouse)

An IP warehouse is used when your store has inventory in a location that does not fulfill customer orders directly. This manual warehouse is used to transfer stock to other locations that do handle order fulfillment.

Combined Warehouse

A combined warehouse can be used to see total demand from more than one warehouse. A combined warehouse allows you to choose which warehouses to include to show total demand (sales information). You also specify which warehouse stock to consider.

Optimize Stock Across Locations

If you have enabled more than one warehouse, it can be helpful to see stock levels across locations. If you need to transfer stock, balance stock at various locations or compare inventory levels across warehouses, then the Compare Warehouse report can help.

Viewing Warehouse Information

Warehouse Dropdown: Use this dropdown at the top of Replenishment and reports to choose the location you want to view. 

When you have more than one warehouse enabled, this will very often include a combined warehouse to see total demand. In that scenario, we recommend the following workflow to handle inventory replenishment.

  • Start with the Compare Warehouses report to balance stock across locations.

  • Go to Replenishment and use the combined warehouse view to create a purchase order based on total forecasted customer demand.

When creating a PO based on the combined warehouse view, you will need to select a destination warehouse. This is done because the combined warehouse is a virtual warehouse and the inventory will be delivered to a physical warehouse. 

Manage Variant Data by Warehouse

Catalog > Warehouse is designed to configure warehouse-related information for Variants and Bundles such as replenishment planning settings (eg. Lead Times, Days of Stock), Min/Max Stock, and Alerts.
