In order to predict accurate replenishment recommendations, you will need to set the lead time and days of stock for your products.

The lead time is the amount of time that elapses between placing a purchase order and receiving products.

Days of stock is a period of time for which you’d like to have enough stock - in other words, the stock cover.

You can update lead time and days of stock:

  • Individually by variant

  • By vendor (supplier)

  • In bulk for variants through bulk actions

  • By warehouse

  • In bulk for variants through import

Updating lead time and days of stock by variant

In the Replenishment screen, update the lead time and days of stock by typing into the columns on each variant row.

Click on the field where you would like to update information and type in the new lead time or days of stock.

Then Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Updating lead time and days of stock by vendor

Go to Catalog > Vendors, then click "Settings" beneath the vendor.

Go into the vendor's Settings tab and change the lead time and days of stock for the corresponding warehouse.

Then click 'Save' at the bottom of the page.

A pop-up will appear asking you to whether you want to update the lead time and days of stock for every variant associated with the vendor. If you don't opt to "update variants", the changes will only apply to newly associated variants, not existing ones.

You can set different lead times per location if you have multiple warehouses set up in your Inventory Planner account.

Updating lead time and days of stock for variants using bulk actions

You can change the lead time and days of stock for products in bulk in the replenishment report. In order to do so:

  • Filter products to get the ones you want to update

  • Select the relevant products using the checkboxes on the left

  • Click on Bulk actions > Set lead time and days of stock

  • Change the lead time and days of stock
(You can deselect either lead time or days of stock, if you wish to leave one of them unchanged)

  • Click Apply.

Updating lead time and days of stock by warehouse

In Catalog > Warehouse, you can update the lead time and days of stock for each variant, for all locations.

Once you've set the lead time and days of stock per warehouse, click the Save changes button at the bottom of the screen.

Importing lead time and days of stock

In the Replenishment screen, click Import > Variant settings.

You'll see the available columns listed on the bottom of the import section, or you can download the CSV template and fill that in.

Once your CSV file is prepared and ready, drag the file to the import section, or click the button to upload it.

Once it's been uploaded, click "Map fields" to be taken to a screen where you can check and confirm the columns on the file are linked to the desired fields in Inventory Planner.

Ensure lead time and days of stock are mapped correctly, then click 'Import' to complete the import.

You will then see an import summary screen that will confirm changes or flag any errors that the system experienced during the import.
