Catalog and orders modal

The Catalog and orders modal provides a way to update several non-warehouse-specific settings for individual variants in one place, as well as view more information about the open purchase orders related to the variant across all warehouses.

If you want to edit these settings for multiple variants, you can access them in the Catalog.

You can access it by clicking the “i” icon beside the item in the “Name” column, or by clicking the “Catalog and orders” button on the Details page.

The Catalog and orders modal is comprised of several tabs:

  • Forecast settings

  • On order

  • Wholesale orders (if Wholesale is enabled)

  • Vendor attributes

  • Warehouses

  • Bundles and production

  • IP variant (if the variant is an IP variant)

  • Listings

  • History

Forecast settings tab

The Forecast settings tab displays the forecast settings for the variant. You can choose to override the forecast settings for this specific variant using this tab.

The settings are:

Setting

Description

Replenishable

Enable if the variant is replenishable. Learn more about replenishable status here.

Temporary non-replenishable until

If you want to set the variant as non-replenishable for a specific amount of time, enter the end date of its non-replenishable status in this field.

Use custom forecasting settings

Enable if you want to override your account-level forecasting settings for this specific variant.

On enabling, the “Use stockouts history” and “Forecasting method” settings become editable.

Enable if you want to include past stockouts when forecasting. Learn more about stockouts here.

Forecasting method

Combine sales/stock

Configure Inventory Planner to use the sales and/or stock from another variant or variants using this setting. Learn more about combining sales/stock here.

On order tab

The On order tab displays the total number of units of the variant currently on open purchase orders, and provides a breakdown of the purchase orders containing the variant.

Note: If you would like to see how many units are on all stock orders, use the “On order” metric on the Details page.

Wholesale tab

The Wholesale tab is only visible if you have wholesale orders enabled.

It displays a list of the active wholesale orders containing the variant, with the order ID, customer, order status, expected date and quantities across all warehouses.

Vendor attributes tab

The Vendor attributes tab lists all the vendors associated with the variant, and allows you to edit the variant’s attributes for all vendors.

You can also associate the variant with a new vendor on this tab by clicking the "+ Variant vendor" button.

Warehouses tab

The Warehouses tab displays the warehouses associated with the variant and displays the number of units of inventory in each one.

You can also edit some per-warehouse settings, such as lead times, days of stock, min/max stock, and transfer units of measurement.

Bundles and production tab

The Bundles and production tab displays information about the variant if it’s also a bundle, assembly, or the component of a bundle or assembly.

Bundles and assemblies

If the variant is a bundle or assembly, you’ll see a list of the components, including the quantities of the component in the bundle or assembly, the current in stock level of the component, the component days of stock, price, vendor and cost price.

Bundle components

If the variant is a bundle component, you’ll see a list of the bundles containing the component, along with the number of units of the variant in the bundle and the current bundle stock.

You'll also see a chart breaking down the component's sales individually and by bundle.

Assembly components

If the variant is an assembly component, you’ll see a list of the assemblies containing the component, along with the number of units of the variant required for the assembly, and the assembly’s current stock, replenishment quantity, assembly time and cycle, and the stock allocated for the assembly.

IP Variant tab

If the variant is an IP Variant, you’ll see the IP Variant tab.

On this tab, you can configure your IP Variant settings.

The fields include:

Setting

Description

Title

The name of the IP Variant.

SKU

The SKU assigned to the IP Variant.

Barcode

The IP Variant’s barcode.

Price

The IP Variant’s retail price.

You’ll also see settings to override the brand associated with the variant, manage IP tags, and add dimensions (CBM, Net weight, Gross weight).

Listings tab

The Listings tab displays all the listings associated with the variant.

On this tab, you can choose to enable linking by a master SKU.

You’ll also see settings to override the brand associated with the variant, manage IP tags, and add dimensions (CBM, Net weight, Gross weight).

History tab

The History tab displays a list of all actions that have happened to the variant.

It consists of a table with three columns: time, details, and action.

The “Action” column lists the type of activity, while the “Details” column lists more information about the action which took place, and the “Time” column contains the timestamp of the action.
